This is not a rule that the country is ready to adopt.
If there are problems with the 40 hour workweek, like not aligning with when kids go to school or come home, and not aligning with kids having spring break, or summer break, or not allowing working people any time to do daytime chores that can only happen during other people’s same working hours, or not allowing enough time for working people to actually take care of their family in ways other than making money, these are all legitimate problems.
