Civ.org needs volunteers to:
- Welcome new users
- Organize ice-breakers
- Answer questions in chat
- Add new ideas
- Critique ideas
- Cite evidence
- Moderate discussion forums
- Summarize perspectives to facilitate social engagement (likes, supports, concerns, other emotional expressions, and ratings)
- Summarize discussions to produce policy recommendations and their advantages, disadvantages, and social support
- Post news and link to the relevant civ.org topics
- Produce social media content from ideas and discussions and news and invite participation
- Outreach to civic leaders, business leaders, elected and appointed officials, elected representatives, political action committees, and anyone else who may be interested in the proposals and might want to contribute or promote them
- Improve the civ.org software
